To set up your connection, first go into your computer's Control Panel. Then, double click on Internet Connections.



Next, change your Home page to http://www.f1.net.au as shown below. Then, to continue, click on the Connections tab.



Next, click on Setup...



This takes you to the Internet Connection Wizard. Select the third dot "I want to set up my Internet connection manually or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN)". Click Next to continue.



Select "I connect through a phone line and modem" and click Next to continue.



Now enter the phone number being 0198333433. An area code is not needed. Leave the "Dial using the area code and country code" box unticked. Next, click on Advanced to continue.



Make sure the options selected as as below. Then click on the Addresses tab.



Make sure this appears as below and enter the Primary DNS Server as 203.30.224.14



Next, enter your F1 username and password. Make sure the username you enter is in lower case, and that there are no spaces before, during or after. Also make sure you put the username only and that you do not have anything such as "@f1.net.au" in the username field.



Now name your connection F1 as seen below.



It is reccomended that you set up your e-mail account also. To do so, select Yes and then click Next.



Select Create a new Internet Mail Account and click Next.



Now enter your Display Name. This is the name which comes up in the Sender field when somebody views an e-mail sent from you. It can be anything you like, but your first and last name is reccomended. Click Next to continue.



Now enter your e-mail address. This should be your username @f1.net.au. For example. if your username is bob, your e-mail address is bob@f1.net.au. Enter yout e-mail address and click Next to continue.



The incoming mail server is a POP3 server. Make sure this is selected in the drop down box as shown below. Then, enter your incoming and outgoing mail servers. The incoming mail server is mail.f1.net.au and the outgoing SMTP server is smtp.f1.net.au. Once this is entered, click Next.



Now enter your username and password as you did for the dial-up account. Make sure they are in lower case, and that there is no spaces before, after or during the username or password. Also make sure you do not put "@F1.net.au" or similar after your username or password. Click Next to continue.



You have now successfully set up your internet and e-mail accounts. Click Finish to exit.
