The following set of instructions will show you how to make a new connection to your F1 Internet service using Microsoft Windows XP.




First, On your desktop, Right click on the Internet Explorer icon and select Properties

This should bring up a dialogue titled Internet Properties. In the Home Page area, change this to http://www.f1.net.au. Then, to proceed, click the Connections tab.

Once you have selected the Connections tab, please click Setup to continue.

This will bring up the Windows New Connection Wizard. Click Next to continue.

You will then be prompted to select a connection type. Please select Connect To The Internet, and click Next to continue.

You will then be prompted to select a setup method. Please select Set Up My Connection Manually and click Next to continue.

You will then be presented with a dialogue asking for a method of connection. Please select Connect Using A Dial-up Modem and click Next to continue.

Then, Name your connection as F1. Click Next.

You will then be prompted to enter a phone number for the connection. The Phone number to enter is 0198333433. Click Next to proceed.

Now you will need to enter your F1 Account information. This is your username and password you receive upon sign up with F1. Once you have entered this information correctly, untick the box which says Turn on Internet Connection Firewall for this connection. Then click Next.

You have now sucessfully set up your internet connection. Click Finish to exit the wizard and begin enjoying your internet experience with F1 Internet Services!
